Linking Peace, Justice, and Nature for Resilience

Environmental security sits at the intersection of ecological health and social stability. From farmlands to mineral reserves and water basins, natural resource systems shape the well-being of communities and nations. But as climate change accelerates and competition over land, water, and extractives intensifies, these systems are increasingly vulnerable to degradation and conflict.
At Stratum Institute, we explore the links between peace, justice, and natural resource governance. We support approaches that prevent and resolve resource-driven conflict, promote responsible stewardship, and ensure equitable access to critical ecological and economic assets. Through collaboration with governments, industry actors, and civil society, we work toward resilient ecosystems and peaceful societies.
Projects include research on natural resource conflict mitigation, policy and governance frameworks, and strategies for managing shared resources in fragile regions.
