Linking Peace, Justice, and Nature for Resilience
Environmental security is at the heart of sustainable development, blending the health of ecosystems with the stability of communities and nations. Agriculture depends on natural resources—land, water, and biodiversity—all of which are increasingly under threat from climate change, resource scarcity, and conflict.
Stratum Institute explores the critical connections between peace, justice, and the natural world. We advocate for policies and practices that address resource-driven conflicts, protect vulnerable ecosystems, and ensure equitable access to land and water. By fostering collaboration between stakeholders, including governments, communities, and environmental organizations, we aim to create solutions that strengthen agricultural systems while promoting peace and justice.
Our work includes insights into how agricultural sectors can contribute to peacebuilding, frameworks for resolving land disputes, and strategies for resource regeneration in conflict-affected regions.
